Further congratulations are in place for Montfort paraplanner Rob Gow who successfully passed his R04 examination, focusing on pensions and retirement planning. As one of Montfort’s leading paraplanners, Rob has been a vital figure within the Montfort team for close to two years and now joins seven fellow Montfort colleagues including Eugen Neagu, Andrew Hains, Alex Norwood and Chris Slater-Jones whom also hold the qualification (in addition to Geraint Davies, Jonathon Webb and Neil Clarke who are accredited with the equivalent AF3).

With Montfort’s expert focus greatly dedicated to high-level pensions advice, it goes without saying this is a fantastic development for the team and the quality of service Montfort offers its private client and IFA affiliates. “Passing the R04 gives me an even further understanding and ability to analyse pension and retirement planning issues”, comments Rob. “In context of my role at Montfort, this is an incredibly important qualification with a great majority of Montfort’s client base requiring advice on their pensions.”

This exam passing marks Rob’s certified expertise and proficiency to analyse a client’s existing pension while also write commonly complex pension recommendation report specific to a client’s needs and circumstances, and particularly those requiring global financial planning.

“I am now halfway through the R0 exams that form part of the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning to qualify me as a fully regulated paraplanner so I can directly advise clients which is my ultimate end goal. Once I have achieved this Diploma, next steps will be working towards the Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and passing all concerning examinations”, details Rob Gow.

“This is a considerable achievement in line with Rob’s progression of passing his R0 exams. We’re thrilled that Rob was successful with a lot of time, effort and commitment going into his studies”, commends Glenys Davies, director of Montfort.

For now, Rob is concentrating on this R03 Personal Taxation exam which he will look to take in the coming months of this year. After which, he will only have to pass the R02 (Investment Principles and Risk) and R06 (Financial Planning Practice) examinations for this diploma to be complete.

Congratulations again Rob and here’s to an exciting future at Montfort!
