EnquireAs Montfort's founder and managing director, Geraint has operated in the industry for over 30 years.
Initially forging his career in Australia and returning to the UK in 1992, Geraint's own emigration experience saw a space in which to pioneer cross-border solutions for individuals emigrating. As a result, Montfort was established in 1995 as the first UK-based IFA firm to specialise in this complex sector of financial planning.
Geraint also worked with HMRC to develop and pioneer solutions, such as QROPS, to facilitate overseas pension transfers.
A proud Welshman, Geraint's number one passion is Welsh rugby, in addition to golf, travel and fine food!
As a director of Montfort, Glenys played a vital role in the company since its launch 27 years ago. Australian born and bred, and originally hailing from Perth, Glenys brings an unrivalled knowledge of the country and its financial landscape.
Throughout that time, Glenys's focus has been to ensure Montfort offers only the very best customer service and journey experience to its high net-worth client base. Glenys is also actively involved in Montfort's marketing, recruitment and human resources.
In her spare time, Glenys enjoys art history, walking and travelling.
We are delighted to welcome Danielle back to the Montfort team. Having qualified as a level four Paraplanner in record time, Danielle became Montfort’s first female trainee adviser, before spreading her wings and travelling to Canada as well as embracing motherhood.
With her wealth of experience, Danielle has been supporting our advisers writing complex reports and has now taken on the role of financial adviser.
Danielle enjoys beach walks with her family and exploring the surrounding countryside.
As Finance Manager at Montfort, Min is responsible for all accounting processes including preparation of financial statements, management accounts, payroll and invoicing.
Min brings over 18 years’ accountancy experience to the role and has excellent organisational and financial management skills. She is highly proficient in using an array of accounting software.
In her spare time, Min keeps active by regularly going to the gym, playing tennis and table tennis. She also enjoys yoga and reading as ways to relax.
Damon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Montfort. He has been involved in all aspects of administration and the management of new business. He possesses a good knowledge of operational procedures and undertaking improvements with a very keen eye for detail. With his pleasant telephone manner he has established an excellent rapport with clients.
In his spare time Damon’s interests involve playing golf to varying degrees of success, landscape and nature photography and following an abundance of sporting events.
We welcome Sara as the latest member of the Montfort team.
Sara has over 15 years’ experience in the financial industry, including administration and customer services, and she is already keen to start studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning to expand her technical knowledge. She is currently providing valuable administration support to Danielle as well as working on client annual reviews.
In her spare time Sara likes to keep active with yoga and pilates and also enjoys finding new hiking trails to explore.
Jeff is an Australian chartered accountant who has been based in the UK since 1987. With over 25 years' of tax experience, Jeff's particular expertise lies in the interaction and technical complexities between the UK and overseas tax systems, and their impact on all varieties of taxpayer.
A true Aussie, Jeff regularly enjoys barbecues at home with a cold beer in hand, of course. He also has a passion for cricket, while on weekends, you'll regularly find Jeff cruising down country lanes in his vintage Triumph Stag.
